Eat like an Okinawan Anon
Met up with some podcasters tonight. Really great to see Pete Cooper, Pete Cogle, Simon Toon, the guys from the Aycliffe Podcast and after nearly three years a real joy to finally meet Rowley for the first time.
Simon mentioned Kiddicare to me (we’re both relatively new Dads) and I was shocked by their latest extreme sports for babies campaign. (It’s an oldy, but a goody).
I might watch the Superbowl tonight, despite being a Redskins fan.
It must be a good decade since I’ve heard the phrase ‘information superhighway’ and yet tonight the BBC’s 10 O’Clock news couldn’t stop talking about it. Very weird.
Why Micro$oft and Yahoo’s courtship should have prompted this piece of linguistic nostalgia from the BBC, god alone knows.
Of course the last time ‘information superhighway’ was common parlance in the media, we were all on dial-up. The incongruence always struck me as amusing at the time.
Still, I used to love my 14.4 and then 28.8 US Robotics modems and the joys of trumpet winsock!
If you’re interested in helping support the Tuttle Club or indeed understanding what on earth it’s all about, head here and then here. It’s a great project and Lloyd’s doing an excellent job keeping things moving along nicely.
Now, have you got a 27b/6? Seriously though, there are no correct procedures.
